Edul@b Researchers Participate in the ADMIT Project Meeting in Rome

The second in-person meeting of the ADMIT project (generative AI anD large language Models In higuer educaTion) took place in Rome on November 12th and 13th. The meeting was held at the headquarters of the Università Telematica Internazionale UNINETTUNO.
Edul@b researchers, Dr. Lourdes Guàrdia, Dr. Marcelo Maina, Dr. Nati Cabrera and Ludovica Fanni (research assistant) participated by presenting the Framework for Large Language Models applied to Higher Education (LLM-ed). This is the result of the research carried out in this project, it’s a framework that offers a structured guide to help teachers integrate large-scale language models (LLMs) in the design of courses that put the student at the center of the educational action. It also promotes an inclusive, ethical and effective use of AI, presenting LLMs as support tools that enhance creativity, efficiency and active learning, while respecting the professional criteria of teachers at all times. Teachers from EPCE and EIMT, as well as eLinC, have also participated in the validation process of the framework.
The next step is to create a set of tools, guides and instruments that help teachers put into practice the design principles proposed in this framework and this is the task that will be developed from now until the first half of next year.
If you want to know more about the framework, you will find it published here. From the previous link you can also access to other results of the project such as a systematic literature review on the impact of GenAI and LLMs, a report on trends, policies and practices also in relation to Generative AI and Language Models within the framework of the institutions participating in the ADMIT project consortium, and an infographic to raise awareness about the ethical issues underlying the technology behind LLMs and generative AI.
