Enhancing Digital Education in the Mediterranean

Summary: The aim of the initiative is to set the basis of a meaningful dialogue and the exchange of best practices to accelerate the DT of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) within and among the Mediterranean countries.

The primary objectives of the initiative include:

  • Fostering digital transformation awareness toward inclusive hybrid and online learning.
  • Presenting frameworks and standards of quality in digital learning.
  • Exploring approaches of leadership and management for the implementation of DT strategies.
  • Instilling a macro and micro learning design mindset for technology enhanced learning.
  • Introducing digital learning technology trends to strengthen pedagogical innovation on digital education.

As a guide to facilitate the digitalization of HEIs, the document offers an overview of digital education and presents different educational models based on ICT.

Recomendaciones para fomentar la calidad en prácticas educativas mediadas por tecnologías digitales

Summary: Endorsed by the Colombian Ministry of Education, addressed to all Colombian universities, with direct impact to the entire Colombian Higher education System. This was the product of the consultation with RedUnete network (Colombia) chaired by Dr. Josep M. Duart, member of the group.

Set of quality indicators of the online teaching and learning dimension of higher education institutions

Summary: This was an outcome of the CODUR project: Creating and Online Dimension for University Rankings, led by the group. This set of indicators was transferred and applied to the U-Multirank ranking with the corresponding impact for the rest of European universities.
