A research on online training is selected by the ACUP for the compilation of good teaching innovation practices

The research on online training Form@TIC, coordinated by the researchers of the research group Edul@b Montse Guitert, Teresa Romeu and Marc Romero, together with the UOC professor Gemma Abellán, has been one of the educational experiences selected by the Catalan Association of Public Universities (ACUP) and the Government of Catalonia for the compilation of good teaching innovation practices this year from the eight Catalan public universities.

A total of 23 educational experiences have been chosen from among the best communications presented at the International Congress of University Teaching and Innovation (CIDUI), held last July 2018 at the University of Girona, and the Jaume Vicens Vives distinction 2017 and 2018 of the collective modality.

These 23 selected experiences have been classified into the following four areas:

1. Innovative methodologies.
2. Evaluation.
3. ICT.
4. Training outside the classroom.

Five keys to online collaboration in the initial teacher training of the UOC

The research, selected within the ICT area, focuses on a specific training, developed by the Digital Competences area of the UOC an called Form@TIC, which is carried out by collaborating professors who start teaching online.

The Form@TIC seminar provides the strategies to ensure teaching of the subject “ICT skills” (CTIC) and put into play the skills to ensure collaboration between teachers. The participants of the course experience, working collaboratively, the role of student and teacher online.
