Thesis Defence. Antonella Esposito: The Transition “from student to researcher” in the Digital Age

Last December 22, 2014,  Antonella Espósito has successfully defended her PhD thesis entitled: “The transition from student to researcherin the digital age: Exploring the affordances of emerging learning ecologies of PhD e-researchers” under the supervision of Dr. Albert Sangrà and Dr. Marcelo Maina. The oral examination took place at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya in Barcelona.

The jury was composed by the following internationally recognized researchers: Dr. George Veletsianos (Royal Roads University, Canada), Dr.  Morten Flate Paulsen (Sør-Trøndelag University College, Norway), and Dr. Montse Guitert Catasús (UOC, Spain).

Dr. Espósito was awarded with an « Excellent Cum Laude » within the UOC Doctoral Programme in Education and ICT (e-learning). She also obtained the special mention for an International Doctorate that recognizes her remarkable work that included a research stay at the Insitute of Education in London.
