On Thursday, July 3, at 9:30 a.m. (CET), the final event of the EFICCA3 project will be held at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya: “Estratègies de feedback intern per al desplegament dels nous currículums competencials: cap a l’autoregulació de l’aprenentatge de l’alumnat”. The conference is titled “Una nova mirada a l’aprenentatge: estratègies de feedback i autoregulació a l’aula”.

The EFICCA3 project offers an inspiring day for sharing knowledge, real-life experiences, and transferable ideas for teaching. The goal is to improve student learning processes through self-regulation and feedback. This knowledge is collectively built with a dozen secondary schools in the country and with international voices that have contributed inspiring perspectives and practices.

A unique opportunity to connect with other professionals and transform feedback into a real tool for improving learning. You’ll also find the presentation of the EFICCA3 project results, roundtable discussions with secondary schools in Catalonia participating in the project, a roundtable discussion with real-life participants, a poster session, international examples from Scotland, the Netherlands, and Mexico, practical recommendations and a support guide for teaching teams, and much more!

The final event of EFICCA3 will feature the participation of the research team that is part of the project: Maite Fernández-Ferrer, Eduard Masdeu Yélamos, Tanja Strecker (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya), Nati Cabrera (Edul@b Research Group, Universitat Oberta de Catalunya), Elena Cano García, Ludmila Martins (Universitat de Barcelona), Georgeta Ion (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona).

The project “Internal Feedback Strategies for the Deployment of New Competency-Based Curricula: Toward Self-Regulation of Student Learning (EFICCA3)” aims to seek and understand internalized feedback practices to promote student self-regulation, in order to design educational proposals.

The specific objectives of the project are as follows:

  1. To identify the characteristics and factors of internalized feedback practices to promote student self-regulation.
  2. To develop and validate an instrument for detecting successful cases based on the characteristics and key factors of internalized feedback processes for student self-regulation.
  3. To identify successful practices of internalized feedback processes for student self-regulation in international and local educational centers.
  4. To analyze the key processes for ensuring successful internalized feedback practices for the development of student self-regulation, in order to establish a possible itinerary or path that teaching teams can follow.
