Reflections on the techno-pedagogical design with Simon Kear

Today we had the opportunity to meet Simon Kear , Senior Learning Technologist of the Beyond Distance Research Alliance, Research Centre for Education and ICT at the University of Leicester . There have been some interesting questions related to the investigation of Edul@b and the importance of relying upon our institution, the UOC, as a laboratory of leading educational practices and the need for improving teaching and learning processes that are taking place .

We also discussed some key elements of instructional design (on a proposal that we are currently developing for the announcement of the Lifelong Learning Programme ) and raise “activities” rather than thinking about “content”. Careful design of learning activities along with constant monitoring and guidance by the teacher will increase dramatically the success.
