Montse Guitert speaker at the plenary debate in the Senate on digital empowerment
On Wednesday 17th of May, World Internet Day, the researcher from the Edul@b research group Montse Guitert will participate in the plenary debate on “Digital Empowerment” organised by the Internet Day Impulse Committee in the Senate of Madrid.
This plenary debate will analyse how technologies can help groups at risk of social exclusion to integrate into society and how they can help the tasks of organizations working with these people.
In addition to Montse Guitert, the list of speakers will include Father Ángel García, Felix Serrano, Jorge Cattaneo, Petra Isabell Wenitzky and Álvaro García, all of them from various entities that develop different projects to promote the digital empowerment of the most disadvantaged.
This event will also deliver the Internet Award 2017 to the Personal Trajectory to Dr. Andreu Veà, member of the Advisory Council on Digital Competencies of the UOC.
