Edul@b participation in the UOC Research Week 2016

During the week from 18 to 22 April it has taken place the UOC Research Week 2016: Imagine the University, a week full of activities organised by the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya related to the e-learning field. With the main hashtag #imagineUOC, this edition has focused on imagining and revealing how it will be the university of the future and their students.

Participation of Edul@b

The Edul@b group has also participated in the Research Week and has carried out various activities throughout the week. In this sense, Albert Sangrà has participated in the UOC Research Showcase making the presentation of the publication “Emerging Learning Ecologies as a new challenge and essence for e-learning”. The case of e-doctoral researchers“, where he has shown a case focused on a research of PhD students who adopt social media in their doctoral trajectories.

Also, the PhD students of the group Jordi Serarols and Juan Pedro Cerro have participated in the PhD Students Workshop, where they have presented their doctoral work to the experts of the UOC:

– “The implementation of ICT in secondary schools in Catalonia: ideas for organization and management based on case studies” by Jordi Serarols.

– “Customized collaborative learning: innovative web 2.0 environments and strategies to adapt the learning process to meet student’s individual learning needs” by Juan Pedro Cerro.

Furthermore, the researcher of the group Edul@b Lourdes Guardia has presented a research project on the university of the future drafted by fifteen researchers of the eLearn Center (research and innovation center in online learning of the UOC) in collaboration with fifty international experts. The project indicates that the university of the future will be digital, flexible and more specialized.
