We are delighted to invite you to the second event of the ETHE Journal Webinar Series, a growing initiative of the International Journal of Educational Technology in Higher Education (ETHE) created to bring together leading scholars whose work has made a lasting mark on research in educational technology and higher education.

For this second session, we are especially honoured to feature Prof. Dr. Yoshija Walter (Kalaidos University of Applied Sciences, Switzerland) whose great combination of expertise, spanning cognitive neuroscience, philosophy, AI ethics, digital psychology and strategic management positions him at a truly singular intersection of disciplines.

The webinar “Digital Psychology and Critical Skills in the Age of Agentic AI” will be held on Thursday June 4th at 15:00h (CET), 9:00 (ET), 10:00 (CLT), 18:30 (IST), 21:00 (HKT). We will explore the psychological and critical dimensions of living and working alongside AI agent systems that no longer merely responds, but plans, acts, and pursues goals autonomously. Drawing on his interdisciplinary research, he will examine how these systems challenge our cognitive habits, ethical frameworks and educational assumptions. Also, what skills, human and institutional, will be essential to navigate this new landscape responsibly. This is a conversation not only about technology, but about what it means to remain critically informed and humanly grounded in the age of AI.

This webinar offers an unique opportunity to engage with one of the field’s most intellectually wide-ranging voices. A researcher, educator and consultant who can debate about philosophy and advise organisations on AI deployment.
