Edul@b Professor Josep M. Duart Presents How to Guarantee Quality in Access to the Digital University at the General Council of Andorra

On November 26, a conference was held on the occasion of World Access to Higher Education Day at the General Council of Andorra. The event organized by the Higher Education Quality Agency (AQUA) became the ideal setting to debate the challenges of digital transformation in the university of the future. In this context, the professor of the Open University of Catalonia and member of the Edul@b Research Group, Dr. Josep M. Duart, presented how to guarantee quality in digital access to university. He also highlighted European reference guidelines and good practices.

Concepts such as credibility and transparency defined his intervention, providing relevant data regarding quality assurance based on the European Standards and Guidelines (ESG), as well as sharing the guidelines of the European Association for Quality Assurance (ENQA). In this sense, Dr. Duart highlighted the good work carried out by Andorra, since AQUA is part of the aforementioned European association and the European environment of the Council of Europe.

The conference was supported by the General Ombudsman of Andorra, Carles Ensenyat, and with the participation of the director of the AQUA agency. In conclusion, it highlights how university quality assurance is a fundamental axis for moving towards a more digital and inclusive future of education.
